The Halliday Room

This is located at first floor level and is the Club’s principal dining room.  The room is 9.75m x 9m and can accommodate varying numbers dependent on the type of function.  It is a very elegant room containing most of the Club’s collection of portraits and permanent art collection.  It has excellent natural light and has been the location for all of the Club’s historic dinner functions.

AC/Williamson Exhibition-Speaker’s Lunch Friday 12 January

Good Afternoon everyone

Those of you who were at the launch of the exhibition will doubtless recall the superb talk given by Niall Hodson (Curator of the Williamson and AC member) about the paintings, the artists and the connections between the two.

Niall has kindly agreed to reprise his talk. For those who were not at the launch you will find it truly fascinating and it certainly bears hearing a second time for those who were there.

Niall will deliver his talk at 12.30 in the Gallery and that will be followed by lunch at 13.00.

Please contact the AC to book in for lunch either by telephone or:

mail to: ac.manager@outlook.com

Fine Wine Lunch Monday 29 January

Good Afternoon Everyone.

Please see the message from Wino:

Dear Fine Wine Lovers,

Our first event of the year will be on Monday 29th January at lunchtime. The theme will be that which our previous Pressie requested (sadly no date available) ‘North America’. Please scour your cellars, wine racks and favourite wine shop to find a fine bottle of wine from that amazing producer of fine wines and bring along to lunch at the Club. A corkage charge of £10 each will be charged to your lunch account, although if you turn up empty handed a wine from ‘The Americas’ is available from our stocks. Please let the Club know if you would like to attend, a list will be posted on the noticeboard. A menu will be devised by Sam and her team to accompany our wines which I am sure will be a treat. Please do try to attend and show your favourite North American wine.

Best regards,

WINO
Please book by telephoning the AC or:

Diary Updates-Alerts

Tuesday 19 March-Arts Lunch Merseyside  Please note that the club is fully booked for that day

Wednesday 17 April-Late Presidents Remembered Lunch This is the re-arranged lunch from Tuesday 2 April. A talk will be given by Tony Ensor who will reminisce about presidents past, who are no longer with us, and also the traditions and customs of the AC. This will be a ‘voyage of discovery’ in Tony’s inimitable style and should be highly entertaining. It will be of value to members both old and new and we wish to encourage, in particular, our very newest members. Will those members who have recently proposed and/or seconded a new member bring them along for this unusual and informative lunch!
